The stakes: This is the biggest game in professional club soccer. The Champions League is a tournament featuring the top clubs from each of Europe's most competitive and prestigious leagues spanning across England, Spain, Italy, Germany, and France. By the time you get to the final, you're watching the two best clubs on the continent play one match for the trophy and this year we have a historic matchup between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).
For PSG, this is a chance to make history. Paris Saint-Germain is the defending Champions League winner, and a win Saturday would make them just the second team in the modern Champions League era to win back-to-back titles.
For Arsenal, a win Saturday would be the cherry on top of an already historic season. They haven't been to a Champions League Final in 20 years and have never won the trophy. After finally breaking through to win the English Premier League this season, their first in over two decades, a win Saturday would cement this as one of the greatest seasons in club history.
What to watch for: This match will likely come down to the matchup between Arsenal's defense against PSG's attack. PSG's frontline is one of the most dangerous in the world, led by Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Ousmane Dembélé, and Désiré Doué. They've scored 44 goals in 16 Champions League matches this season, more than any other team.
On the other side, Arsenal has the best defensive unit in club football conceding only 6 goals across 14 matches in the Champions League, the least of any team. With one of the best backlines featuring William Saliba, Gabriel Magalhães, standout goalie David Raya, and star Declan Rice at the midfield, if Arsenal can limit PSG’s chances and keep things close they’ll have a real shot at their first Champions League title in club history.
The Betting Angle [Powered by WagerXpert]: PSG to win in regulation (+135). For as good as Arsenal has been this season, there is a talent and experience mismatch. PSG has a roster who won this trophy a year ago, and they’ve focused on this very moment all season to go back-to-back. PSG has won 12 out of their 16 Champions League games in regulation this year and we don’t anticipate that trend to change. This is a team that finishes games before the final whistle.

THUNDER VS SPURS | TONIGHT 8:30 PM, NBC
The stakes: It's win or go home for the Spurs. This series has been a tactical chess match where adjustments and role players have swung games in a big way, and now San Antonio has to win tonight at home to force a Game 7 in Oklahoma City. Both teams are banged up with injuries and will be playing their sixth game in 11 days, so fatigue will be a real factor in this one.
The Thunder will want to close the door on this series so they can rest and get healthy for the Finals. For the Spurs, this is the kind of moment that can define an era. For a team that was supposed to be competitive but not expected to make a deep playoff run, winning tonight and taking this to a Game 7 on Saturday would be a massive turnaround for a franchise just beginning the Wemby era and a statement that this team's championship window is wide open, far earlier than anyone expected.
What to watch for: Can OKC keep Wemby out of the paint? In games the Spurs have won this series, he's been dominant inside. In games they've lost, he's drifted to the perimeter and played passive. That will be the key for this game. If Wemby attacks early, San Antonio has a real shot. If he settles for jumpers, this series ends tonight.
The Betting Angle [Powered by WagerXpert]: Spurs -3.5. We like San Antonio to win and cover at home. Home court has been the story of this series as the home team has won each of the last two games by double digits. With attrition setting in and bench play proving vital for both teams, role players reliably perform better at home, and that favors a Spurs squad fighting to stay alive. There's also a whistle factor, the Thunder shot 38 free throws in Game 5 after averaging around 26 for the series. That kind of disparity rarely repeats on the road.

NHL EASTERN CONFERENCE FINALS | FRIDAY-SUNDAY

Gif by nhl on Giphy
Hurricanes vs. Canadiens (Hurricanes lead 3-1) | Game 5 & 6: The Hurricanes have a closeout opportunity on Friday. After taking a 3-1 series lead, the Hurricanes are one win away from their first Stanley Cup Final appearance since 2006. For Montreal, this is the moment the Cinderella run either keeps going or comes to an end. The Habs have already pulled off two improbable Game 7 wins this postseason to get here and they'll need to pull out another one, starting Friday on the road.
The Hurricanes have been the more rested, more talented team all series, and they're playing with a chance to clinch a Finals appearance in front of their crowd. If the Canadiens can steal Game 5 and force the series back to Montreal for Game 6 Sunday, their Cinderella story continues. If Carolina protects home ice, they're heading to the Cup Final to face Vegas.
